Artois was bought from the Horses In Training sales in August relatively cheaply compared to what a lot of the other nice horses sold for on the day. As soon as Alexandra Dunn got him home she knew he was an extremely nice horse. Artois is by Mizzem Mast and out of Intercontinental. Mizzem Mast is a prolific sire and multi winner in the US. The Dam was a serial winner and won over £1m in prize money and produced multiple winners. He is a real top class Dual Purpose prospect. Artois is highly rated on the flat and schooled really well over hurdles, so a dual purpose career is certainly on the cards for this exciting young horse.

Dandilion’s pedigree is full of speed, sired by Dandy Man who won the group 3 Saint James Palace House Stakes at Newmarket. She’s a 4 time winner, winning 3 times as a 3yo and is a winner as a 6yo. Having placed 9 times from her 30 starts, it just goes to show how consistent a sprinter she is. She is the perfect club/syndicate horse and a firm favourite with our members because of her exciting running style. As she is always closing quickly from the back of the pack.

He has the page and attitude to be a very special Dual Purpose horse and take us to some of the best meetings across the UK.

“He was recommended to me, and I really liked the look of him.  He looks good value, and excited to be working with him.” Hugo Merienne, Trainer

She is in training with John Jenkins who is the trainer of Chloellie, and previously, Caramelita and her dam, Apple Of My Eye. He therefore knows the family inside out.

Our unnamed Yeats filly is a beauty. The sire is a leading National Hunt stallion, producing the likes of Thomas Campbell, Shattered Love and Brave Eagle, as well as dozens of other horses rated over 140. The dam, Saucy Present, was unnraced, but is the half sister of Ordinary World, who went to the Cheltenham festival over the last three years, and was a beaten third to Altior in the 2017 Arkle. The filly qualifies for a €100k Irish bumper and a bumper in the Cheltenham festival is a target down the line. She has the makings to be a really successful horse. She is being broken in and will start full training on 1 January 2020.

Having been brought to our attention by bloodstock agent George Doyle, we where very keen to add Mountain Ranger to our club. He’s still unexposed, having only had 12 starts and already winning one of those. His victory came in a bumper, when beating a horse that was very highly thought of in the Willie Mullins yard as they backed it in to 8/11 on debut and our lad came out on top. Mountain Ranger is by Mountain High and out of Oscareen. His sire is a prolific sire of top NH horses such as Air Horse One and Sykes. Mountain Ranger is a P2P winner and is lightly raced and open to further progress. He is really well handicapped based on his Irish form, and looks a chaser in the making.

He is by Compton Place, and out of Red Mischief. ‘Compo’ has shown a lot of promise early on and his form is good viewing. Of the horses that have beaten him, 15 have gone on to win races, and one has ran in a Group 1. We haven’t seen the best of him by a long shot, he has filled out to be a real picture of a horse and in time will go over hurdles for us.

Solo Saxophone is a 5 year old gelding out of the unbeaten freak that was Frankel, who currently stands at €175k. Nothing really needs to be said about Frankel, the highest rated flat horse ever! Aswell as having the mighty Frankel in the bloodline, the dam was a very nice horse in her own right. Society Hostess was a four time winner, rated 102 on the flat over 7f-1m. Solo Saxophone is currently rated 74 on the flat and 132 over hurdles. He is a 4 time winner, ran nicely in the Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 3) at Cheltenham in March 2018 at a good price, and was notably third at a big handicap at Aintree in May this year.

He was a backward 2 year old and a bit of a baby, but has blossomed into a really nice horse. One the trainer describes as one of his best 2 year olds. He will either go straight on the flat, and then the juvenile hurdle route next year, or geared up to start in bumpers early in 2020.
