Rodney After Dave is a fantastic prospect currently in full training, ready for the start of the new flat season in April 2018. His Sire, Intense Focus, amassed over £200,000 in prize money during his successful career, and his foals include Grade 1 winners in France. His Dam, Ceol Cois Tine, was unraced, but has produced winners.

“We are delighted to have Rodney After Dave in the club. He has a solid pedigree and has shown great effort and ability since we bought him. We hope to have a lot of fun with him!” Chris Bennett, Equinox Racing

“Rodney After Dave has not looked out of place in our yard. He is a speedy type, that will work initially over 5/6f, and could be a competitive sprinter for years to come. We are very happy to be working with him, and hope he will fulfill the promise he has shown us already.” Tom Fife, Trainer

Nervous Nerys is from Kodiac and out of Sassy.  Kodiac is a record breaking sire of 2 year old’s, and sire of 73 Stakes performers.  Notable foals include Gifted Master and Elleval.  With Kodiac foals being so prolific, his stud fee has increased to €50,000, so Nerys represents a really shrewd acquisition.

“We are delighted to have acquired Nervous Nerys which is a great deal for the club.  She is very well bred, will hit the ground running and will give us endless great days out.  She is a little pocket rocket, and a very gutsy horse.” Rob Edwards, Equinox Racing

Samstar is from Nathaniel, a multiple Grade 1 winner, and stubborn rival to Frankel.  His received prize money of almost £1.5m throughout his career.  Samstar is related to Enable (also a filly out of Nathaniel), who was Europe’s best flat horse during 2017, having won 5 Grade 1’s, including 2 Classics, and a Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, and amassing prize money of almost £4m, despite only being a 4 year old.  Samstar has a great pedigree, and all the makings to have a very successful career.

“Unfortunately due to multiple serious injuries her racing career came to a premature, without really being able to show us her real potential.  She has a fantastic page and is part of our exciting breeding program.” Rob Edwards, Equinox Racing

Ruler Of The Nile is from Exceed and Excel, and out of Dinka Raja.  His Sire was a top Australian sprinter amassing over £500,000 in prize money, and is prolific source of precocious/smart 2yo’s, and a champion sire in Australia.  He was bought for GNS75,000 in the Tatts Yearling sale in 2013.

“We feel we have acquired a bargain.  Ruler Of The Nile has had a somewhat stop start career to date with efforts over both forms of the sport, but we feel he is still open to improvement and we are sure to be in the winners circle with him.” Rob Edwards, Equinox Racing

He has take to his new surroundings very well indeed, and has shown a great character already.  The thing that surprised me most is how fast he is, and will be aiming him at a 1m/1m+.  We are delighted to have him in the yard, and hope to help get his career back on track.” Tom Fife, Trainer

Pure Affection is Beneficial, and out of Regents Dancer.  Beneficial had a top career, and since retiring to stud, has sired horses such as More Of That, and Kid Cassidy.  The Dam has also produced winners.

“She is a very lightly raced mare that has shown a lot of ability.  She was second in a bumper, where the winner has subsequently gone on to win twice more and placed multiple more times. We should have a lot of fun with her.” Rob Edwards, Equinox Racing

She has been given plenty of time to recover from an injury sustained at the end of 2017.  She has been back in work a while now and has shown a lot of ability.” Ian Williams, Trainer

“We wanted to make a bit of statement, and we feel we have done that with Shiroccsmyworld.  She has a fabulous pedigree, with her half siblings all winning, and her sire producing such legendary horses.  We cannot wait to see her on the track early in 2019.” Rob Edwards, Equinox Racing

I am delighted to have this filly in the yard.  I have had Duel At Dawn with me for sometime and had great success, so I know the pedigree very well.  She has taken her early work in her stride and has shown a lot of ability.” Alex Hales, Trainer

De Little Engine is by Power, out of Reveuse de Jour.  The Dam’s Sire was Saddlers Wells.  Power won 5 of his 9 races accumulating prize money of nearly £500,000.  As a stallion he has sired endless winners, including Peace Envoy and Pleaseletmewin.

“I have followed the horse a fair bit before we brought him to the club, and really liked him.  He is a trier, he travels well and takes some beating when full of confidence.” Rob Edwards, Equinox Racing

He is the dude of the stable.  We all absolutely love him.  He is a real gutsy horse, and you can see that by his recent wins.  He is on an upward curve as there is more to come from him” Alex Dunn, Trainer

Very little needs to be said about Barrier Reef’s sire, Galileo.  He is easily one of the most prolific sires, with over 70 Group 1 winners from his stock.  His Dam has also produced winners, and Barrier Reef is full brother to Botany Bay.

“This is a big coup for us.  He is a real prospect, and has been very lightly raced/worked.  He seems a classic dual purpose horse who could entertain us all year around, and have a fabulous career.” Rob Edwards, Equinox Racing

He was a good purchase.  He had some promise on the flat, but we see him as a real NH prospect.  He has a fabulous pedigree, and is a big strong horse, and moves really well.  He will have a few runs on the flat to get a mark, before stepping him up to go over the sticks.” Tim Vaughan, Trainer

This unnamed filly is by Due Diligence, and out of Three Ducks.  Due Diligence was a very nice horse and rated 105 on the flat, and a Listed winner.  2019 is his first year as a sire.  His dam has produced multiple winners.

“She is speedy type on paper, and a real cracking looking horse.  She has a real good attitude already, and can see her winning races very quickly.” Rob Edwards, Equinox Racing

She really appealed to me, and looks a class act.  She will almost certainly win races as a 2 year old.” Mick Appleby, Trainer

Ticket To L A is by Westerner, and out of In Bloom.  Westerner was a multiple Group 1 winner, and prolific NH sire.  In Bloom is a new mare.  However, she was a winner, and rated 118 over hurdles.

“She was a winner of a good standard P2P, and won it in real style.  She fought off the favorite and pulled clear to win 10 lengths on the bridle.  That was enough to convince us she could be something very nice indeed.  Hopefully she can continue that early promise.” Rob Edwards, Equinox Racing

Mango Baron is by German sire Nicaron, and out of Early Lu Hutte.  He is half brother to Saint Baron who amassed €50k in prize money in a handful of races before injury.  He will hopefully develop in Chantilly to the level of his half sibling.

“We always wanted a horse in France, and this looks like an exciting option for us.  He isn’t the biggest, but he is very compact with a big engine.  He should be ready for hurdles late in 2019” Rob Edwards, Equinox Racing

“He was recommended to me, and I really liked the look of him.  He looks good value, and excited to be working with him.” Hugo Merienne, Trainer
